Classic RPG meets modern roguelite

AfterQuest draws from beloved turn-based RPGs like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, where players form a party, grow attached to its members, and uncover their stories throughout their journey.

AfterQuest focuses on quick gameplay and replayability inspired by the roguelite genre. Like Hades, narrative and character development unfold between runs, without interrupting momentum.

Strategic turn-based combat

Combat in AfterQuest is fast, fluid, and responsive. Spells and attacks are beautifully animated but designed for quick execution, ensuring the action never slows down. With an ARPG-style interface, there are no menus to navigate—just smooth, instant actions.

Beneath the speed lies plenty of depth. A wide range of abilities, elemental interactions, status effects, gear, and consumables create endless strategic possibilities, letting you adapt, experiment, and master every battle.

Learn new spells and equip epic loot

As you work your way through dungeons you’ll level up to learn new spells, find runes to add powerful modifiers, and equip epic loot to further customize your heroes.

Each run feels unique with dozens of spells and spell modifiers to unlock for each class and a plethora of loot with additional effects. Learn the Warrior spell Rip which deals bleed damage and combine it with the Thirst for Blood rune which heals you when enemies take bleed damage. Equip the rune Smite the Weak causing the Paladin’s Light’s Wrath spell to deal increased damage to bleeding enemies. There are many, many combinations to discover.

Battle powerful bosses

You’ll need that power to take on the many boss encounters in AfterQuest. Each zone includes several mini bosses as well as a final epic encounter with the zones end boss.

Once the final boss is defeated that zone is cleared and you can move on to the next. Fall, and you’ll find yourself revived back at camp where you can unlock various forms of permanent progression to tip the scales for the next battle.
